5/12: A little more sun in the mix.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 5/12: Happy Mother’s Day! Aside from the snow overnight we also saw some solid movement out of this stubborn low and are into the finial throes. The last strong band has passed and we will see remnants wrapping in from the northeast in an upslope flow that should buy us increasing sunshine through the day. The atmosphere is well saturated so expect showers possible but also pockets of sun you will want to take advantage of.
Temperatures: Lows were warm at 33 for Gunni and 30 for CB. Highs will climb to 44 for CB and 50 for Gunni with the sun. Lows tonight will be cooler as skies clear.
Outlook: With this system pushing east of CO we will finally see a window of sunshine starting Monday that will allow a taste of spring. Temperatures will pop under a southwestern flow with sunny skies early Monday giving way to some convective build up in the afternoon. Showers will be isolated with the sun back to start Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday will offer a fresh shot of moisture but it will be here and gone quickly with the sun back Thursday afternoon for a continued mild sunny trend into the weekend.
